About the Event
Championship Directive & ObjectiveWitness the thrilling battle of power, precision, and strategy in Robo War – Wedge, where two teams compete head-to-head with their custom-built combat robots. Teams manually control their bots using a wireless method, aiming to outmaneuver their opponents and dominate the arena with their wedge-shaped designs. Each robot must demonstrate strength, stability, and effective tactics to gain an advantage over the opponent. The team that dominates the battle and meets the competition’s winning criteria will emerge victorious. Get ready for an action-packed robotic showdown!
Bot Specifications
Engineering, Dimensions & Voltage Limits
The robot must not weigh more than 8 kg, including the battery and all onboard components. A weight tolerance of up to 100 g is allowed.
The robot must fit within 40 cm × 40 cm × 40 cm (Length × Width × Height).
Only wedge-type robots with fixed, non-moving wedges are allowed. Active weapons or weapon systems are strictly prohibited.
All robots must be operated wirelessly. Wired control systems are not allowed.
The maximum permitted battery voltage is 16.8 V, using a 4-cell battery configuration.
All batteries and electrical components must be securely fitted inside the robot, with exposed connections properly insulated.
Every robot must have a failsafe system that automatically stops the drive motors if the control signal is lost.
Internal combustion engines, pyrotechnics, and hazardous materials are strictly prohibited.Rules & Guidelines
Official Tournament Protocol & Referee Regulations
Each team must consist of 2–5 participants. Students from different institutions may form a team. All participants must carry valid institutional ID cards.
All robots must undergo and pass weight, electrical, and safety inspections before participation. Organizers may conduct re-inspection at any stage.
The objective is to immobilize the opponent or dominate the match through pushing effectiveness and control using the permitted wedge and drive system.
Spinning weapons, powered lifters, flippers, hammers, and all other active weapon mechanisms are strictly prohibited.
All matches will be conducted inside the designated enclosed arena cage. Participants must remain outside the safety area while robots are operational.
Robots may be activated only on the referee’s signal. Participants must not touch or retrieve robots during a match unless instructed by officials.
A robot may be declared immobilized if it cannot demonstrate controlled movement for the period specified by the referee.
If neither robot is immobilized within the allotted time, judges will decide the winner based on pushing effectiveness, control, aggression, and overall performance.
Deliberate interference with an opponent’s wireless control, intentional damage to the arena, or unsafe conduct may result in penalties or disqualification.
Any modification made after inspection must comply with the specifications and may require reinspection before the robot is allowed to compete.
The referee may stop a match in case of a safety risk, technical issue, or arena malfunction. Robots may be retrieved only after the referee confirms that it is safe to do so.
Teams must report at the designated time. Failure to report may result in forfeiture.
The referee and judges’ decisions regarding scoring, penalties, match stoppages, and disqualification will be final.
The organizers reserve the right to amend the rules when necessary for safety or fair competition.
